In 2026, the Estonian historic vehicle movement will celebrate several significant anniversaries.
On 31 January 1976, the historic vehicle club Unic was founded under the association Autom, and on 11 September 1976 the club organized a long-distance drive that started from Tallinn Town Hall Square and finished in Rakvere.
To commemorate these landmark events, today’s Unic Club, in cooperation with the Estonian Union of Historic Vehicle Clubs, will organize the Historic Vehicle Jubilee Drive and Jubilee Rally on 15 August 2026 along the route Tallinn–Rakvere.
The anniversary event consists of two different formats. The first is the Jubilee Drive, which follows the tradition of large historic vehicle gatherings by travelling together in a convoy between exhibition locations. Participating vehicles include passenger cars, motorcycles, buses, and trucks. As we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the organized historic vehicle movement, vehicles eligible for participation in the Jubilee Drive must be models whose series production began no later than 1976 (vehicles worthy of historic status and preserved in original condition). Preference will be given to officially certified historic vehicles carrying the so-called “black registration plates.”
The second format is the Jubilee Rally, a rally held in a style appropriate for historic vehicles. This is an entertainment-oriented demonstration drive that takes place in the beautiful natural surroundings of Northern Estonia and along historic rally roads. During the rally, participants in passenger cars will follow a route book and timetable along a prescribed course and complete additional tasks. The general vehicle requirements are the same as for the Jubilee Drive, but the minimum age requirement is 35 years. Other requirements concerning rally vehicles are specified in the rally regulations that can be found here:
2026 Historic Vehicles Anniversary Rally Regulations
The Jubilee Rally route will run exclusively on paved roads. The special stages and tasks are designed to suit historic vehicles and will not place excessive strain on them.
Registration forms for both event formats can be found here:
